I'd be interested in your points for XC Skies in a world where TopMeteo is available.

Doug:
Took a couple of attempts, but TopMeteo.com works in Firefox on an HTC.

Tony:
I'm not sold.
How does today's forecast compare to yesterday?
The resolution on the TopMeteo website is pretty low.
Convection height is available in numerical format only.
Rivers as the background map?
TopMeteo is better to view in SeeYou than the website, but viewable parameters are extremely limited.
In the SeeYou overlay, try to click between today at 2PM and the next couple of days at 2PM. Especially tough if it's after 2PM.
I've seen their XC Potential very high in areas with ~1500' between clouds and granite, and 30Kt winds. Not the nice smooth Appalachian chain, more like the terrain and weather for Steve Fossett's final flight.
On Monday, the TopMeteo forecast for Tuesday was backwards for the Las Vegas area: Best lift was supposed to be along Black Canyon which is generally a line in the sand not to cross for most people. Should have believed the other forecasts and flown, instead of getting work done under a beautiful sky.
There's a plus, the work is done!

But the chance of getting support is likely better than XC Skies.
