Also, the V2 buried itself deeply in the ground and exploded upwards. The V1

After the war, the British Government looked for the least costly way to
deliver a ton of explosives to a target (bombers shot down, crews lost) and
deduced that the V-1, which cost about as much as a motorcycle but delivered
2,000 lbs. of explosive, was the most cost-effective delivery vehicle of the
war.

I'm surprised no banana republics have resurrected it, only with a GPS
guidance system and radar altimeter. Flying at treetop level at 400 mph
would make it nearly as hard a target to take out as 2.3 million-dollar
cruise missile. For the price of a good used car, it would be terrifying
once again as it would be taking out specific targets instead of falling
randomly...
