Yes I agree that a heat map may have little practical value because the terrain, clouds, etc., and a bit of experience, and some time to poke around, lead you to lift in the mountains.
I'm just curious about a heatmap view of my season of soaring. I'm not looking for a practical payoff.
It's interesting that WinPilot tried to exploit heatmaps 'back in the day'.
