I started soaring in Tucson in 1973. At that time, I believe Turf

I was in USAF pilot training at Williams AFB in Chandler, AZ back in
1973. Roy was operating from the Turf Paradise Racetrack airfield
at the time. I instructed and gave rides for Roy on the weekends
for a few months during my time there. Roy was a nice guy. RIP
