Air Force plane crashes in Nevada desert

(EXCERPT) THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

LAS VEGAS -- An Air Force plane crashed in the desert Tuesday morning,
killing all five people on board, military officials said.

The Beechcraft KA 1900 went down about in an unpopulated area, about
125 miles northwest of Nellis Air Force Base. Four contractors and the
Air Force civilian pilot were killed, Staff Sgt. Shane Sharp said.

The Air Force did not release the victims' identities.

Sharp said the plane was on a routine mission, ferrying the four
contractors to the Tonopah Test Range.
