I have a few foam gaps to fill. *I can apply superfil early on and let

I suspect normal "cell" filling is done concurrent with fiberglassing,
but filling significant voids is done standalone (allowed to cure/then
sanded, prior to fiberglass)

Let me put it this way...the better the surface before application of
the glass the better the results are going to be. In those cases
where I have used foam as the base for a part I have always filled and
sanded before applying glass. This would be even more important if
you plan to use a vacuum cure. The glass is either going to follow
the contour of the surface of leave a air bubble underneath. Trying
to apply the superfil and glass together is going to lead to some
undesired results since the epoxy will absorb into the superfil and it
will not hold the shape you desire.
