I recently bought a 3855 on ebay for $185 australian ($145 US). Ed also
didnt mention any warranty with his, the one I bought has a 3 month
warranty.

ebay doesn't actually "sell" anything: you are dealing with an individual
you probably don't know when you buy something off of ebay. Buy from Ed,
and you know who you are buying from. The only problem a non-Canadian
pilot might encounter with Ed is returning an item, which needs to be done
carefully to avoid Customs charges.
