John,

I took my portable Sony XM Receiver from my car (I now have a permanent
one in my car) and put it my plane. I just set the receiver under the
seat and the antenna in the Baggage area. I do not have to worry about
position since I have a tubular steel and fabric airframe.

My reviver has an output line level adjustment under the menu. That
helps me adjust it to the intercom.

Here is my plan. Any thoughts would be appreciated. BTW my plane is
a 73 Cessna 150L.

I am going to move my Satellite Radio to my plane.

To mount the base station, I was planning on getting a small
plexi-glass shelf and making a small cut in my center console to mount
this shelf in and then securing it on the back side with some brackets
or possible with some industrial adhesive. The radio console then
would screw to this little shelf.

The audio out of the satellite radio would then plug into the music in
of my intercom system. The problem here is that there is no volume
control on the satellite radio. To solve this problem I would install
a POTS in series of the line moving into the audio panel.

Does this sound like it would work?
