Use the outer knob to go to the WPT group of pages. Use the inner knob to
select the last page where you can enter the waypoint. You can also press
MENU to see the list of user waypoints. You can enter the point as a radial
and distance, two radials, or lat long.

You can also enter it graphically. Go to NAV page 2, the map. Press in on
the cursor knob. You should now have an arrow. Move the arrow to where you
want to make the point. While you are doing this, you can zoom or press the
clear button to change the declutter and zoom. When you are at the point
that you want to make a waypoint press ENT and you will create a waypoint at
the point. Note that you can play with inputing the name of another
waypoint such as a VOR in the appropriate field to get the VOR radial and
distance of the point.

Most of the Garmin mapping GPS receivers have a similar type function.

To get rid of the cursor, press on the knob again.
