Thanks Chris! Can't wait for the season to start.
I just want to say that the GTA schedule this year holds a lineup of exceptional soaring sites. Most of the sites are scenic and have plenty of terrain variations that make for good soaring conditions. By design, all the venues provide benign outlanding environments. The newest of the venues, Sylacauga, is in the rotation for the second year. This is fast becoming the GTA favorite. Soaring conditions in central Alabama are often excellent. The airfield (Merkel Field) has excellent facilities. The host club, CASA, offers unmatched hospitality and they run a very friendly and efficient operation.. Sylcauga itself offers convenient lodging/shopping/dining. Not least, the task area is safe and scenic.
