Default Newcastle Area (UK): Siberian Aviation presentation

SIBERIAN AVIATION: THE LAST FRONTIER

An Air North presentation on Aeroflot and Russian Air Force operations
in North-East Siberia during 1992. A local aviation enthusiast gives an
illustrated presentation on his visit to one of the world's harshest
environments.

See old airliners dumped on an arctic island, 1960s-era jet fighters
thought to be retired (not!), airfields hacked out of the taiga for
ferrying US aircraft to the Russians during WW2 and much more.

Woolsington (1/2 mile S of Newcastle Airport)
