I read the story as: its a old (proven) russian design, and newly made by Aerojet Rocketdyne in California


Well the latest news said that in fact the rockets were 40 YEARS OLD with some minor refurbishment. Fixy Schwinn 10 speeds are OK for riding around Brooklyn, but Rooskie Fixy rockets shouldn't be used to get to low earth orbit.
