Default Henry Combs Trophy

Did anyone fly a straight-out 500k flight originating in either the U.S.
central or eastern time zones between Oct. 1, 2002, and September 30, 2003?
The flight must be in a motorless glider with the 500k distance being
measured from release to landing.

If so, please contact me because you could be eligible to win the Henry
Combs Perpetual Trophy for the East and Central Zones in 2003. The pilots
winning the Henry Combs Perpetual Trophy award from each of the three zones
will be presented a plaque at the 2004 SSA awards banquet on February 7,
2004, in Atlanta, GA, recognizing the achievement.

The Henry Combs Perpetual Trophy was founded on April 15, 1995, to honor
Henry Combs, an individual who in 1998 completed his 200th straight-out
diamond flight (500k). The founders hope that this award will carry forth
that tradition and serve to encourage glider pilots and ground crews
everywhere to become active, safety-conscious participants in the sport of
straight-out, cross-country soaring. For more information on this award, go
to http://www.yawstring.com.

Thank you.
