Friendly fire pilot may testify against wingman

One of the two pilots involved in the "friendly fire" incident that
killed four Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan last year may testify
against his wingman at an upcoming court martial, a published report
says.

The National Post reports the U.S. Air Force has added retired Maj.
William Umbach, who was in command of that fateful mission, to its
witness list in the case against Maj. Harry Schmidt.

Schmidt, who acted as wingman, has been grounded since he dropped a
laser-guided bomb on the Canadian soldiers near Kandahar on April 18,
2002.
