A NEW MEGA CONTRACT BETWEEN UK AND SAUDI ARABIA

The BAE Systems and the London government are completing the agreement
with Saudi Arabia for the new mega contract of military supplies,
famous like Al Yamanah 3 of billions pounds. The program previews
above all air equipment and there are included 48 of EF 2000 Typhoon,
the export version of Eurofighter (for 3 billions pounds) with spares,
logistic support and technical staff training, the construction of a
new base while purchasing a group of about 40 Bae Hawk to replace old
American F5 is in discussion. For Eurofighter is the second success of
export after the order of the Greek Air Forces for 80 exemplary. A
success which will happen also in German, Italian and Spanish
societies of the consortium, which confirms, as it is demonstrated by
the Panavia Consortium who produced the Tornado, as the export of
European combat jet is guaranteed in large part by London and BAE).
The Saudi Air Forces intends to renew the fleet of combat aircrafts,
replacing with the Typhoon the Tornado purchased in 80s and used by 4
squadrons. Besides the oil price raised allows Ryadh to take advantage
of the situation favorable to renew the Armed Forces with reasonable
costs. The British industry participates also in selling to Saudi a
new armed vehicle with Challenger 2, competiting with French Leclerc.
