BOURNEMOUTH MAN WANTS TO JUMP OUT OF A PLANE...WILL YOU HELP HIM DO IT

Dear All,

I am writing to you in the hope that you may be able to me with regard
to an event that I am taking part in on Sunday 25th July 2004.

I will say up front that it is a charity event, however, please read
on as I hope to retain your interest. The event is called a "Flying
High" day and will be held at Old Buckenham airfield, Norfolk. It is
for the "Anthony Nolan Trust", a charity that specialises in the
research and development of the fight against Leukemia.

Providing I can get the funds raised, I will be taking part in three
events on the day. The first will be a 150mph Wing Walk on top of a
Tiger Moth. Second, a 10,000ft sky dive and finally, an open cockpit
aerobatics session in an old Steadman bi-plane.

Why?

Apart from the fact that I wish to achieve some personal ambitions, I
do believe that the trust does an astounding job and by taking part in
this open day I will be helping them as well as having a fun and
adventurous day out. This will also be quite a stressful time on the
body and not something that should be taken lightly. I'd like to point
out that I have never done anything like this before thus making it
all the more interesting.

Here's where you come in...

I need to raise a total of £1500 minimum by the end of June and time
is running out. To date I have managed to raise £350 but things have
come to a bit of a standstill and I'm running out of ideas. For me
personally it has been a lifetimes ambition to go Wing walking but it
is of course the most expensive part of the fund to raise ( minimum
£1000 ). I've tried contacting the press to generate some interest but
apart from one local paper who ran a story, no-one else wanted to
know.

I appreciate that in today's day and age everyone out there is asking
for money either one way or another for good causes all over and I'm
no exception. But like I said earlier, the trust really does do an
astounding job helping thousands of people every year. I'd like to do
my bit to help them but I can't do it without help from you.

If anyone is able to help me either in the form of sponsorship or by
way of a donation then I would be extremely grateful. If you do not
wish to give me any money, then why not at least go on down to the
event and have a fun day out yourself and support the trust direct.
There are other things taking part on the day including a classic car
rally.
