Default O200 engine pressure

drain the oil and take the football off the bottom of the engine (oil
sump) and have a look up inside using a thousand candle power
spotlight. you can see it all before you.
you just need to have a new gasket available for the sump to engine
joint.

as to the question. havent experienced it with my O-200 but with the
spotlight and an inspection mirror you should be able to confirm the
suspicion or put your mind at ease.
