Default Mount Washington NLS 14 dedication

Just a reminder about the dedication of Mount Washington, NH as the
14th National Landmark of Soaring. The event will take place at the
Mount Washington Hotel on October 8, 2005. Lodging is available at the
Bretton Woods Resort (Hotel, Bretton Arms inn) and room are being held
for attendees but the reservations must be made prior to September 8,
2005. For more information please visit the web site
http://www.ssaregion1.org/NLS14/index.htm

I'm familiar with the camps run by Allan MacNichol during the 60s,
70s, and 80s in addition to the more recent camps of the late 90s to
the present. Whats missing from the history is info about the large
Canadian use of the area and pilots who flew independant of the
mentioned camps. Come to the event and swap stories.

Columbus Day weekend has been the traditional peak of foliage season
for the Presidential Range. The view of the mountains from the porch
of the hotel is nothing short of fantastic. Grab a date, plan a
foliage trip and "discover" the glider event while you're out
sightseeing.
