That was the problem on my Cessna. I came across it quite by accident. I
had tried everything else to solve. That year Cessna used a single throw
- double pole pull switch. My ammeter started swinging and when I went
to touch the master it stopped. I found that I could start and stop the
wild swinging by slight rotational pressure on the switch.
