It looks like Pipistrel won't be able to get an SLSA
certificate for anything, so no Pipistrel glider rentals

Even if gliders were presently included in LSA there is a problem keeping the
Pipistrels from qualifing for LSA; they come from Slovenia and Slovenia does
not have a bi-laterial airworthness agreement with the USA, so it would not
qalify for LSA anyway.


The LSA door is not closed to gliders. It is just that no one could be found to
fully see it through. But several people have worked on parts of it. It will
get done, just not right now.
