Default Experiences with vendors

Van's Air Force (VAF) is probably the largest homebuilding site on the
Web. But it's devoted to Vans Aircraft homebuilts (the RV
series). Worse--for the purpose of this post--it actively deletes
negative posts about vendors. So you get all the praises of good
vendors, but negative comments are quickly deleted, thus leaving the
buyer with a very biased view of the marketplace.

But r.a.homebuilt could fill the void. This is unmoderated and
uncontrolled, often a disadvantage in a world of spam, but an advantage
for the purpose of posting unfiltered experiences with vendors.

I'm halfway through building an RV-9A, and can't say I've had a truly
bad experience with any vendor. But as I ponder a future purchase of an
engine, I hear rumors that the once-praised Aero Sport Power in Canada
has of late had quality problems. True or false? Not sure I'll get the
straight answer on VAF, but there is a possibility of getting it here.
