Default Useful, but unknown, FAA pubs

I was browsing through the Contents page on my Summit Aviation CD and ran
across the Accident Prevention Publications....as I read down the list of
titles, I could tie many of them to recent posts in the rec.aviation
newsgroups I visit.

For example:

Stepping Up to Your Complex Airplane...questions about constant speed props?

Engine Operation for Pilots...leaning?

How to Fly Your HSI....on a back-course localizer approach?

Preflighting Your Avionics..."Anyone got a good checklist for preflighting
avionics?"

The Impossible Turn...recent turn-back accident?

Radio Communications Phraseology and Techniques...use of "student pilot"?
(BTW, this is the bible for pilot communications.)

How to get them? Hard to tell...try calling your FSDO's Safety Program
Manager. They are all printed on yellow paper, and their designations all
begin with FAA-P. Note: Many of them are magazine articles for which the FAA
has received reprint permission; those are not the "official" FAA word.
