To express it simply:
Modern profiles create a bubble because the max thickness is put way to the
leading edge in order to increase the laminar flow length on the lower
surface, and turbulators help to destroy this bubble. Earlier profiles are
designed differently and don't tend to have this bubble, so a turbulator is
completely useless (at best).

) and got a nice reply from Wilhelm Dirks (Chief
Designer!).

His response was succinct; "Turbulators won't make sense on the
profiles used." Nuf said...but I wonder why.
