They didn't collide, one jet clipped the other. The other aircraft as an
Embraer Legacy 600, the bizjet version of the Embraer ERJ that so many
regional airlines fly around the world. The other jet managed to land
safely.

Somebody screws up, and you exactly collide with conflicting aircraft,
over remote jungle.

I have never understood exact altitudes. In fact, I always added
220 feet. Never fly at a multiple of 500 feet. Stay out of high
density altitudes.
