Default US Roads Alternate Road Set

It has been said that US Roads look unrealistic, like looking at a Road-Map,
because the roads are too bright and clean. In real life the roads are
darker and partially concealed by vegetation. I have spent hours looking at
aerial photos on the net, and was surprised at how US Roads looks very
realistic, especially when comparing FS "top-down" views with map-type color
photos. The light color roads are very prominent in the pictures, as are the
clean lines. There are 2 main differences. Firstly, the real photos show
more variety in pavement colors, concrete being very light gray and asphalt
being almost black. In New Jersey interstate roads are often black, with
center dotted white lines and yellow side lines. Although overhead shots
show clean lines, views out the window, being less vertical, show many roads
partially obscured by vegetation. (some roads cannot be seen, just deduced
from the row of trees).
In my new "Alternate US Roads", I have decided to use different shades of
gray for each road type, and to use irregular transparency to soften the
lines and give the illusion of vegetation partially obscuring the roads.
Several textures use images adapted from "US Roads" by kind permission of
the author. I will post credits with the files.
I will be visiting the Grand-Kids on the July 4th weekend, but should have a
set of file ready to test later next week.
