Can some non-structural fairings be designed to make it look like a
sailplane instead of a pregnant tropical fish?

Extending the World Class to 2016.
New requirements:
7.7.5 New 15m World Class Glider
The new World Class glider is the PW-15 design which was the winner of
the 2006 World Class design competition. All gliders must be built to
the IGC specifications for the World Class and must conform to all
applicable IGC rules. No modifications are permitted except as
approved and circulated in writing by FAI to all NACs on behalf of the
IGC. Span of the PW-5 is to be increased to 15m. *New set of wings
could be attached to the existing PW-5 and they should be
interchangeable with the present 13.4m wings.
a. ALTERATION TO AIRFLOW
Any alteration affecting airflow around the glider is allowed. This
includes, but is not limited to, the use of tabulation devices,
fairings, and special surface treatment. The only exceptions a
(i) A yaw string,
(ii) A total energy probe,
(iii) Adhesive tape to seal gaps between wings, fuselage and tail.
Sealing between moveable control surfaces and the airframe is not
permitted.
b. ELECTRICAL DEVICES
Electrical and electronic devices are allowed, including instruments,
navigational aids * and PRA's Ignition system.
d. CENTRE OF GRAVITY CONTROL
Any device capable of altering the centre of gravity location of the
glider during flight is much recommended, but nor required.
e. TAKE OFF AND FLIGHT SUPORTING DEVICES

For take off, and to sustain the flight, the new PW-15 is allowed to
use Soviet made, now decommissioned WW II "Katusha" type- Rocked
Propelled Ammunition - RPA.

The price when it's finally delivered is expected to be EU 2000 or
about $ 150,000.

You forgot to mention the optional detachable drag flaps to tame the
hot characteristics
of this new version so it can still be widely used in club operations.
