It would be great if Emir could make this work.

Three years ago, after a miserable cold rainy day at the Greytown Soaring Center in New Zealand, I was drinking with a friend/engineer/glider_pilot from Slovenia, and others. We got excited about starting a business shipping gliders from the USA to Slovenia for PU paint and FES installation. We kept drinking. In the morning, it was still raining, and some of us were hung over.

Like Argentina, labor rates in Slovenia for refinishing are lower than in the United States. The difference is that Emir does not have to worry about undercutting demand and price for the shiny brand new FES equipped gliders that are being manufactured in Europe. Emir has everything to gain and nothing to lose by making this work.
