Well it's nice to meet up with someone the same size as me!

I went through the same process trying to decide what plane would suit me
and after trying all those that were available at the time I settled for the
Murphy Rebel and I could not be happier!

This plane will take two blokes built like us, together with all the camping
gear (and beer) that you can fit in it, with ease and it has such a spacious
rear cabin you can even sleep in it!

I have a Rotax 912s powering it and it cruises at 85 knots and uses 18
litres an hour. It is a superb handling aircraft and just loves the outback.
Where I fly from there are no paved runways for hundreds of kilometres and
it handles these conditions with ease.

The Rebel has good factory backup and with a very helpful internet group
that will steer you through any difficulties that you might encounter. The
factory has introduced a quick build kit, but I don't know about the quality
or the value for money that this option offers.

The Zodiac did not suit me as it does not fit into the category that we can
use here under "ultralight" categories.

I also liked the Rans S7 as it will accommodate big blokes, but I chose the
Rebel because it is all aluminium, side by side and unlike the S7 it is not
fabric covered. The Rebel also offers a much larger luggage area.

biggest one is cabin size and comfort. Any suggestions?
