Default Gypsy Major parts

Greetings,
Curious if anyone can comment on what the parts availability (in the
US, that is) is for Gypsy engine used in Tiger Moths and Chipmunks?
Is this an orphan?
Any other advise sought as well about a Chipmunk specifically, but
mostly curious about what parts are like. Does England or Canada still
have a steady supply?

Just a thought, but I have a friend who flys a Stampe -- the
Belgian-licensed Tiger Moth -- that has been refitted with a Ranger,
possibly from a PT-19 or F-24. So the plane's now certificated
"Experimental," and he needed to put a 40-pound weight in the tail,
but the plane still looks authentic, unless you're a fanatic. I'm
guessing that Rangers are more common in North America, although the
RCAF must have had its share of Dehavillands. I don't think my friend
ever flew behind the smaller engine, so I don't know how it would
compare. When I flew with him IAS in cruise was about 100 mph, but it
where were any performance advantage to the Ranger, I guess you'd be
more likely to see it in climb.
