I want to get back into it with a modern combat sim, LOMAC in

survey/study (if you will) simulation?

Hi James, it sounds like LOMAC may be suitable. Get LOMAC Gold if you can
as it runs better and is more stable. It's mostly a survey sim but also
has a fairly detailed 'study' of the SU25t. Most of the aircraft (bar the
25t) have simplified avionics systems but the sim doesn't treat you like
an idiot.

Like all sims it has its issues but it's what I fly the most (a lot of it
online).

By the way, the USENET group comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.flight-sim has more
discussion on combat sims (as opposed to civilian sims)
