Not quite. The "CJ-7" was first produced by AMC in 1987.

The War time General Purpose, (G-P) or jeeps were either "MB" built by
Willys-Overland, or "GPW" built by Ford.

The "GPW" was a Ford code; "G"= Government vehicle, "P"= 80" wheel
base, and "W"= Willys. Ford also produced the "GPA" or amphbious
"G-P". The first "CJ" or "Civilian Jeep was produced for civilian use
in late 1945.


those photos were taken in Toledo OH at the Willys plant in 1942


Therefore those would be "MB".
