from a business 101 standpoint, the buyer should never be the first one
to quote a price offer. that's what people mean when they say "i'm not
going to negotiate with myself." the quoted price is just a starting
point but it is the sellers starting point, not necessarily the buyers
and unless you're dealing with an unwilling seller, that's the way it
should be.

and, as a seller, i would have the greatest effection for the person
who believes that if you have to ask, you can't afford it. i'll even
throw in my satisfaction guranteed money back offer. (if i'm not
TOTALLY SATISFIED with your money; i'll give it back! promise.)
