Default fly with ce silver badge question

Now that I'm on a real keyboard...

The IGC made it possible for standalone GPS Position Recorders to document Silver and Gold badges effective last October. However, it is up to the individual NACs to identify and approve specific devices in collaboration with the IGC's GFAC (the group that oversees all things GPS/Flight Recorder). As of right now, the SSA is in the final stages of getting approval for the FlyWithCE FR300 posted to the IGC Website. I know a couple of other countries are in the same boat.

Note that the devices that are currently up on the IGC Website were all approved under the prior rules which required the use of a separate Barograph. Some of those devices may be re-approved under the new rules.

Clear as mud?

Thanks.....I finally got to the correct sections of the sporting code and

the annex......

The SSA is misleading ....

So basically we just 100 meters to everything...

1100 meters for silver climb.........

3100 meters for gold climb

1% rule for silver distance...but 100 meters higher than that at finish....

etc..
