Rod Machado used this definition in one of his AOPA articles on GPS WAAS a
few months ago.

This makes more sense. Having the word "precision" in there would cause a
bit of confusion since both the lateral and vertical would technically be
precision.



Worse than that, having the word "precision" would be misleading because these
approaches do not meet ICAO Annex 10 standards to be labeled "precision"
appropaches. . .
