A while back, Doug instructed at a similar one-day Region 2 clinic
hosted by the Philadelphia Glider Council. According to the lucky
folks who flew with him, it was an illuminating, even electrifying
experience.

If you've accumulated some cross-country miles and have contemplated
entering a contest, or if your early racing experiences haven't been
happy ones to date, check this out. I wish something like it had been
available when I first dipped my toes into 1-26 racing in 1968.

Frankly, I'm STILL tempted to sign up! And as the Web site notes, this
is a lovely area for the family to explore while you're out flying or
on days when the weather doesn't cooperate.

Thanks to Doug for continuing to "invest" in the future of soaring as
he has done for so many years as SSA director, trustee, financial
advisor, etc.
