Vlado, how long do you think these air races using WWII
aircraft and parts can go on?

Racing puts huge stresses on engines, and I'd think
each aircraft would be going through engines like
grass through a cow! How many times can you rebuild
an Allison or Merlin?

Are there newly manufactured engines for this demand?
It would seem not according to an article in Air And
Space last year.

And the air frames themselves. Seems you can only keep
a Mustang on Bear frame good for so long, and we're now
talking 60 years!

Are other than WWII aircraft being used for these races?
