Default US Standard Class Nationals

Hello Race Fans...
R here to report on the US Standard Class Nationals being held on Texas Soaring Association wonderful gliderport. TSA (660') is located just outside Dallas TCA with all of the bottom half of Texas available to our delight. TSA is an amazing club with over 200 members and a 300' by 1.2 mile runway, parts of which is paved and the rest grass. A must visit by all. They normally fly on Thursday, Sat, Sun.
So here we go , tomorrow is the first day with an improved outlook after a 'cold' front passes tonight. After tomorrow, the weather improves dramatically for 8 days of flying at the speed of heat.
Today's practice day was called due to wx but, you can see on the SSA site the results of a 'tour of Texas' task called Sat by CD Mark Keene. Lift 5-10 with blue and cloud skies scattered about. On Thursday, I flew on the most perfect day I ever experience with 10K bases, good vis, 7-11 kt climb. Lift as smooth as silk.
After an excellent Brisket and Sausage BBQ with all the sides along with Pecan Pie, the mandatory meeting was held with around 19 pilots signin the sheet.
We expect a rare north launch tomorrow into the wind requiring pilots fly without ballast. And to our delight, a line finish will be in use to please the viewers with a 200' finish height.
We have a field of heavy hitters to provide the ooos and aaaaaahhhs and I will do my best to include all the details. Annnndddd, we have two ladies racing to improve upon all the ugly.
Look for a daily report around 9pm CT as things end late around here.
