On July 21, 2004, Channel News Asia of Singapore reported the military
exercise involving two Taiwan French-made Mirage fighters to land on
major freeways, the first of its kind in 26 years. The previous
exercise was carried out before the freeway was open for public
civilian use.

from the freeway.

The exercise includes a simulated landing of the Mirage 2000-5
fighters landing on the freeway, refueled and loaded with short-range
air-to-air missiles before flying into the sky again. The landing has
to be carried out by visual.
