I pu;;ed this from the USCG site:

NINTH DISTRICT OPERATIONS AND NINTH DISTRICT OFFICE OF SEARCH AND RESCUE VISIT
JOINT RESCUE COORDINATION CENTER TRENTON, ONTARIO, CANADA

On Nov. 19, the D9 Chief of Operations and the D9 Chief of Search and Rescue
visited Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) Trenton, Ontario, Canada. The
meeting was used to exchange ideas on search and rescue policies and discuss
individual and cooperative capabilities. Due to the close of U.S./Canadian
borders, JRCC Trenton and Ninth District units often work closely to coordinate
search efforts though the Great Lakes area of responsibility. Ninth District
(Operations) and Ninthe District (Office of Search and Rescue) were able to
view some Canadian assets, including the brand new Cormorant Search and Rescue
helicopter. The new Cormorant Helicopter, intended to replace the aging
Labrador helicpoter, is powered by three gas turbines, can carry 12 stretchers,
and has a powerful ice protection system. In fiscal years 2003, the Canadians
assisted the U.S. by flying more than 30 SAR missions.
