I've used nothing rougher than an "orange" for light rubbing compounds. I've use white or blue for applying a glazing compound like 3m Finesse-It. You could probably use the same for WX-Seal (part 1). I generally hand-apply WX-Block (part 2) and use terrycloth bonnets to remove it when dry; final buff is with microfiber bonnets.

You might consider buying a small variety, then stock up on the ones you use most.

My polisher came with an assortment of colorful pads, thus the reason for asking what pads others have used. Interesting thoughts about using the bonnets. I might have to give those a try.

* Those Autogeek pads must be aftermarket and not Cyclo brand. They have "bumps" while the Cyclo brand pads are smooth. Do the bumps make a difference?
