Default Auto Towing the LVVSA G103 (YouTube video)

The Spring 2012 LVVSA Auto - Tow weekend was, as always, tons of fun!
Auto and Aero tows from Roach Dry Lakebed, between Jean and Primm NV,
in actual soaring conditions! We had the usual great food, bonfire,
and camaraderie. Keith W. made an exceptional batch of dark
chocolate, mint chip ice cream, and Dan W. brought his telescope along
and treated us to a view of Saturn!
Sunday morning, I wanted to try a longer and stronger (although very
used) rope to tow the G103. The first launch went well:

but subsequent launches ended in the rope breaking three times (always
at old splices).
If you aren't too far away, and are interested in a great weekend and
maybe getting a ground launch endorsement, consider contacting the
early in October or April.
Cheers,
Uncle Fuzzy
