Hi,

I agree that turnpoint area task support is not a simple yes/no statement,
but I'm not sure how to make the spreadsheet address any differences.
Certainly this is a matter of opinion. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Paul Remde

Hi,

I will be giving a talk at the SSA convention at 1 PM on Thursday on the
topic "Soaring Flight Computer Comparison". I am determined to give an
unbiased look at all the available flight computer/logger systems.

Paul,

Your spread sheet includes "Turn Area Task Support" yes/no. I don't
thnk a yes/no answer is useful. There are many factors that have to
be considered when judging how well a a particular system supports
area tasks. Two key issues are 1. the accuracy of the estimated time
to complete task considering current winds, and 2. the ease of
switching to the next leg and updating the current area turn point.

Given the popularity of area tasks at regional and national level in
USA, the quality of support for area tasks may be key discriminator in
selecting a system.
