BUSH SERVED HONORABLY AND HE'S GOT THE MEDALS TO PROVE IT

He served hono(u)rably and failed to consort with the enemy or
commit treason while an officer.
He has his National Defence Service Medal and
Expert Marksman's ribbon.
Oh, and he got to wear his unit's citation ribbon while he
was attached.
Its not like he manufactured bogus Purple Hearts or falsified
write ups for medals awarded for valo(ur) unlike someone we
could mention.

Four years ago, the draft-dodger Bush was running against
somebody who volunteered for the Army and was on the ground in
Vietnam, albeit in a non-combat role. Nevertheless he managed
to make himself look like the hero and the volunteer look like
a coward.
You would think he would be put off this year by the
prospect of running against somebody who volunteered for the
Navy, served a full non-combat tour, then volunteered for
another tour and for combat,

No, he did NOT volunteer for combat, he made that patently clear in a
previous book he contributed to: "I didn't really want to get involved in
the war," Kerry said in a little-noticed contribution to a book of Vietnam
reminiscences published in 1986. "When I signed up for the swift boats, they
had very little to do with the war. They were engaged in coastal patrolling
and that's what I thought I was going to be doing."

Unfortunately for John, the mission of the boats changed about the time he
arrived in country--can you say "oops"? Which may explain his desire to
gather as many Purple Hearts for questionable wounds as fast as he could get
them...

and was awarded a Silver Star, a
Bronze Star,

Oddly enough, for some strange reason a second certificate, differing in
terms of wording from the original one, was cut for the BS and allegedly
signed by John Lehman as SecNav some ten or twelve years after Kerry
received it--something Lehman now says is suspicious because he does not
recall signing such a document (and Lehman did not serve during a period
where he would have been called upon to sign very many BS certificates).

and three Purple Hearts.

But by his own admission in his journal kept during his tour, the first PH
was improperly awarded--on 11 Dec, nine days *after* he supposedly was
wounded and wrote himself up for his first PH, he recorded that up until
that time he had NOT been fired at by the enemy. That was his admission *at
the time*--now he says otherwise. Curious, huh?

But no, he is not fazed
a bit, and is trying to do it again...and apparently having
some success.

He does not have to DO anything--Kerry's *own* words are sinking him. He
made a BIG mistake in writing that earlier contribution for the collective
Vietnam book that yielded the quote I gave you above, and then he really
screwed up by giving Brinkely his journals when he tasked him with writing
"Tour of Duty". His OWN words are what is making him out ot be the liar that
he is, not those of Bush, and not those of the SBVT.
