Default Regarding Oil Temp Gauge and Line Repairable

Last month I posted a message asking whether the Oil Temp Gauge and line
could be repaired on my 1974 Cessna 172.

The Cessna dealer quoted around $450 for a new one.

My notes indicate that Mark suggested I send the Gauge and line that broke
to Air Parts of Lockhaven. He said he had one done for $150.

I was quoted $220 which still is a good price.

The gauge and line came back and were repaired to better than the original.
It is now installed and working fine in the Airplane.

The original aluminum tube was prone to kinking. Lockhaven put a shielding
that looks like conduit and will flex much better.

I was very happy with their work.

Turn around was a bit long. It took a month to get it fixed. So if you can
wait I think their work is commendable.

They are at Piper Airport, Lockhaven, PA.

PS. I don't have any interest in their company. I just think that it's good
to let others know where they can have good quality work done.

Now what I need is a good Aircraft Paint Shop in Southern California or in a
nearby state (Oregon, Arizona, Washington)
