Part of my Army flight school back in the 60s was flying with 'partial
panel' in which the instructor blocked your view of the attitude
indicator, heading indicator and something else (for some reason, I
still have the cardboard placed over the instruments after all these
decades!)

Makes ya wonder about some backup analog instruments running off the
pitot tube.




I remember a story of an airliner that
lost all power and avionics over Canada
but made it to an airport with only the
wet compass for navigation.



Found this...I guess now days they're not taking any chances...they're prolly a
couple more on the other side!
