Sabrina Jackintell, women's altitude record holder's passing

The current women's glider absolute altitude record holder from 1979 has died at age 72. Her record of 41,070 was set flying an Astir CS in Colorado.

Gary thanks for posting this notice even though it made me very sad to
read it. I was lucky enough to spend a summer instructing at the Black
Forest Gliderport in 1976. Sabrina lived a few miles away and was at
the gliderport almost every flyable day that summer. She was one of
those very special people who, even if you met her just once, you knew
she would remain in your memory for the rest of your life. She truly
loved the sport and gave it her all. The soaring community has lost a
great lady!
