people could get their feet wet in a 'contest' type event, but not

This would be the day to bring out the young (or young at heart)
pilots to introduce them to the competitive side of soaring - or to
brush up on some of your thermaling skills against some great
pilots.

The glider port will have a few 2 place's available to 'race' with an
instructor (this is a great way to get a newer pilot hooked on the
sport!) -

We are thinking a short triangle course for this event - so the 'pros'
could go around a few times and turn in the best of the day.

At this point, I would just like any feedback from anyone. *I know we
can't please everyone 100%, but - I would like to put on an event that
people like, and has the potential to get new blood involved in the
sport!

Any advise is welcome - thanks for the ideas in advance -

Sounds like fun! I would be interested. I like BBQ too!
