Some old guys are aware that rotating a three-blade prop 180 degrees 
		
	
		
		
		
		
		
	
		 
		
	
	
	(so that one blade is straight up as opposed to straight down at #1 TDC or whatever) can make a difference. The IO-520 had a habit of throwing alternator belts, cured by rotating the prop. Changes resonant vibration modes somehow. Dan  |
