Default Archway Aviation (St. Louis)

Hi, I've just moved to saint louis and am looking for a place to
continue my private training. I've searched through these postings but
unfortunatly it seems like a lot of the FBO's around here have either
gone out of business or at least stopped teaching. So does anyone have
any thoughts on Archway aviation out of Creve Coeur (1H0) or someone
out of Spirit(SUS) or Parks downtown. The only ones I can find are
D'altitudes (good prices but no info to be found) or Skylink (a little
pricey and I've heard good and bad). Thanks in advance.

-Mike

P.S. How much VFR flying(weather wise) can I expect to get in during
jan-feb-mar,
my expectations arnt too high from what I've seen.

Have you tried St. Charles Municpal airport? Their rates I have found to be
resonable plus they do alot of training. They airport may not look the best
but the crowd that hangs out there is great. Alot of help from other
pilots. I received my license in August and am getting ready to start
insturment. You can call me and I can fill you in. Email me back and I
will send you my cell phone number.

I'll ditto Nick's suggestion of St Charles Muni. Nice folks, good aircraft,
and good instructors. I earned my instrument there a number of years ago,
and have flow with them for many years.

As for VFR during the jan-feb-mar time frame, it depends on your desire to
fly in colder weather. IMO January and February are not that bad, but it
just gets a bit windier in March and April.

Thanks for the response, I havn't really looked at St. Charles airport
since Im basically right in between Creve Coeur and Downtown Airport.
Spirit is also about 10 minutes closer then St. Charles. Have you
heard anything about D'altitudes at Downtown Airport? The seem to have
the best rates I can find. Thank again.
