Default RV 6 preview Set

Has anyone seen the RV preview sets that Van`s Aircraft puts out ?my main
question is do the preview set have any dimensions on them to review I seen
a set of plans for the Ch601 from Zenith Aircraft before and they are all in
metric and don`t want to be stuck trying to figure out all the conversions
I`m totally new at this building process and want to review it to see if I`m
capable of building one without throwing away good money. Thanks

Frank,

I have a set of preview plans for the RV7. The set contains:
A copy of the RVator (newsletter/magazine)
Accessories catalog
Construction manual
Plan preview sheets
Order forms, etc

The construction manual is the complete construction manual
by the look of it. 15 sections covering the construction process.

The plan preview sheets are about 50 plans sheets reduced
to about 11" x 17". All dimensions are in inches.

The preview set is good value at $50. The only way to know
more about the build process after reading the preview is to
actually build one!

Don't fret. There aren't many people that can't build a Vans airplane. The
plans are in US inches, and the plans are great. Especially the new RV10
plans, they're the best in the business.

You can't go wrong with a Vans airplane. Just my opinion......

Don't do the conversions. Just get all metric tools and measures and
think in decimals. It's silly to let a little thing like that prevent
you from building the plane you want.

I understand that Van's is the best in the business for previews and
plans. And you'll never be alone when it comes to builders/pilots.

The preview plans are the same as the building plans,
just shrunk. Yes, they have dimensions. Squint.

Good plan (no pun intended). It's not that difficult,
particularly with the level of factory work that's done
on the later models (prepunching, etc.). It *is* time
consuming, and will probably cost more than you think.

Believe me, when you finally fly it, every hour and dollar
will seem well spent.
